What the tool is
The Lucidosophy Explainer Uploader is a command-line tool used only by the owner of the Lucidosophy YouTube channel. It uploads that channel’s own explainer videos and keeps their titles, descriptions, tags, captions, thumbnails, playlist and publishing schedule in step with the production files. This page covers that tool only; it does not describe the rest of this website.
Terms of use
By using the tool, users agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. The tool is provided as is, for the channel owner’s own use, with no warranty.
YouTube API Services
The tool uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies.
Data accessed and stored
Accessed: the signed-in channel’s id and title, and the videos, captions, thumbnails and playlists the tool itself creates. Stored: an OAuth token on the owner’s own computer, and the ids of the channel’s own uploads in the owner’s production files. Nothing is shared with any third party, and no data from or about any other YouTube user is accessed or stored. The tool sets no cookies and collects no device information.
Revoking access and deletion
Access can be revoked at any time at Google security settings. The stored token is deleted on revocation, and any stored data is deleted within 7 days of a request.
